flash back to my 3rd class

learn about semiotics.

what you think of when comes to the word semiotics?

abstract?

delivering a hidden message? 

about a project by stephen poon?

or signs??

basically, according to what we learn.

semiotics is the study of sign

and there are two elements in the structure of sign

which is signifier and signified.

Signifier is refer to something that indicates certain meaning.. or i suppose to say it points you to a direction.

whereas,

signified is refer to something that is being pointed.

As an example,

a sign board .

sign.

The word "open"  is a sifnifier, and signified is the shop is open for the entire week.
